An Introduction

To begin let me first state that I am currently in the process of writing a book entitled "The Evolution of Creation" which I hope will be ready to be published within the next 18 months. Having said that I must also inform everyone that I am not fishing for ideas or even posting my full theories. More so I intend to broaden my own perspective and also those who read this blog, I will keep my ideas limited and open ended as much as possible in order to stimulate healthy debate through commenting. I also will be posting many links to subjects that either support my theories or help to inform people of certain ideologies and media.

In most cases I will be using a form of what I have named "Translucent Logic" to help explain this philosophy I will share a segment from the Preface of my book:

"If we are the only ones out there, it seems like an awful waste of space"
Contact, WB 1997

In writing this book I cannot stress enough the importance of understanding that I am not a scientist. I have an Associate of Science in Film and Video and a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Business. I have not studied biology or chemistry since high school and do not want anyone to mistake me for any type of expert in these fields. However I do want everyone to understand the thinking process and approach to my theories. The above mentioned quote is a great example of what I am presenting, in the statement it does not take a scientist or astronomer to comprehend the idea that maybe we are not alone in this universe. It is a simple logic, one that needs no math or statistics to support, yet in it’s simplistic form it summarizes what many mathematicians and astronomers have come to understand, the probability that we are not alone. This is what I refer to as Translucent Logic, a way of explaining and understanding things that science presents as to complicated for the unstudied mind to comprehend. It is amazing how many times in the Bible God uses this form of logic to explain things to people in a way they can understand, yet the language and composition of the text can be analyzed by anyone whether they be a scholar or layman.

Once again I encourage everyone to post their perspectives and opinions on the topics I will be presenting. Thank you all for taking the time to read my minds ramblings and do check back frequently for new posts, while one week the topic may not interest you, the next weeks posting may.

God Bless,

Matthew Austin Murray

Jesus Loves You... but I still wanna punch you in the face

To say that I grew up violent would be a fairly accurate fact. There are many people who have led more violent lives than that of my own as well as people who have lived less violently if violent at all. Comparisons are pointless, big stick diplomacy only leads to war and war stories only lead to war lust. This is not, however, a story about violence but one of love. That being stated let me talk about violence for a little bit. Some of my earliest, and fondest memories involve violence but there are also memories that involve love.

I am the oldest of four boys born to a southern preacher who was the youngest of four boys. There was no embezzlement, sexual perversion (from our parents) or spiritless hypocrisy in our home, so for those looking for a screwed up church story please look elsewhere. We did grow up violently, as any home with five males would, our father wrestled us lovingly, and we fought neighborhood kids relentlessly. We were spanked for our wrong doings, there is a fine line between punishment and abuse, but the latter we never experienced from our parents. I remember the first time I got punched in the face, the first time I punched someone in the face, the first fight I won, but for some reason not the first I lost (but have lost many). This is not a bad ass brag, everyone who fights knows that there is someone that can beat them, and truly some of the best fighters I’ve known are also some of the nicest people. Beware a smiling face, especially in a world enveloped in professional fighting sports, fighting in a ring is much different than in a bar, or school, or parking lot, or street corner. Sometimes that smiling face is humoring your soft nose and pretty chin.

In our household was a prevalent love, one that I am truly blessed for and will never take for granted, most people probably have not experienced what it is like to live in a home where you are loved no matter what or who you become. It is through this home that I found a revelation in something that has saved many noses from being broken and ribs cracked. When I started doing martial arts is still debatable between my parents and I. They say at a young age probably between 4 and 6, I say around 10 or 11. My memories are not always chronologically correct but my real training started very, very young with a neighborhood kid named Patrick that I exchanged ass kicking’s with on a weekly basis, some weeks I won, others I lost. Around 13 I started taking Ninjitsu, which for a young teenager trying to defend himself in school was not very practical, pulling someone’s jaw from their face is not something they send you to the principles office for (don’t worry I never did that to someone). At age 15 I started taking Muay Thai which I have been akin to personally ever since, it is a brutal, strictly ass kicking art form that has left many people broken but not disemboweled.

All of this is to show that while a violent life was unavoidable (I’ve been to 14 different schools in my life and lived in some very racially tense areas) these martial arts merely increased my odds of survival. I probably reached my violent peak in quantity around the age of 17 and in quality around 22. After I moved off to my final college (2 colleges are included in the before mentioned schools) I only fought once, which my good friend and roommate witnessed, I actually kicked someone’s ass without laying a finger on him. My violence declined out of necessity, I didn’t want to get kicked out of school for a change, and it is the way that I learned to clinch my fist instead of swinging it that brought about a beautiful concept.

Jesus Loves You, this I didn’t always know. When someone was provoking, or even just looked like they needed a good elbow to the temple, I simply thought, hey, Jesus loves them and my arm loosened back up. It’s a very simple thought with a very simple result, this egotistical, womanizing, ignorant moron is loved by Jesus. Then, for some reason, they seem a little more tolerable, not entirely bearable mind you, but endurable. I am a firm believer that some people just need a good knuckle to the jaw, and in many cases I would be more than happy to deliver it to them. In my life now, the number of jaws have lessened, I have yet to be in a situation where the thought of Jesus’ Love for everyone has not been a successful deterrent, I am sure there are several mouth’s rambling right now that will one day meet my fist but for the ones that haven’t, their mouth’s should be thanking Jesus.

This philosophy bothered me for quite sometime, how can Jesus love everyone? I mean, He even Loves Lucifer, but Hitler? Charles Manson? It wasn’t until several years after this revelation that I was given an answer. As many questions have been answered before, it came in the form of a dream. I died, and was in a room sitting at a table with Jesus, the room was bright and there was a video playing on the wall. In the video was a scene from when I was either 18 or 20 and was sitting in a classroom in college. The teacher was not in the room, either getting coffee or in the bathroom, and there was a baseball player that was on scholarship who I despised for many reasons, the main one being his scholarship. This was a real event that had really taken place, for those who don’t know me, or didn’t know me several years ago, I used to be very dangerous with my mouth. I didn’t talk shit, I provoked bowel movements, my tongue was a fully automatic machine gun with my mouth spewing high caliber bullets. I wasn’t one to talk trash the whole time, when it came time to fight my teeth set into my jaw and I was done with words. But until I knew it was time to fight, I did everything I could to provoke one, I wasn’t a bully, I didn’t fight or pick on people that were weaker, however I took every opportunity I could to capitalize on anyone willing to fight. Anyway, getting back to the dream, I was relentlessly beating this kid with my adverbs and adjectives. He wouldn’t fight, like me in later years he didn’t want to get kicked out of school (we did settle things a few weeks later but the dream didn’t play that scene). I sat there with Jesus looking at myself feeling humiliated and embarrassed for how I was treating this kid, I felt shame, even felt sympathy for the baseball jockey.

As I felt my emotions start to rise Jesus paused the video, He looked at me and said, “Hold on a moment.” As if my life was recorded on VHS (maybe you kids born in the 90’s will be on dvd) He rewound the tape to another, real incident, that happened when I was a child. Do you remember my childhood sparring partner Patrick? The scene that played was from one of his birthday parties, he took karate as a child and I was so jealous. He had a karate themed birthday party, with all the kids in his class invited, they had karate belts tied all over the yard in an obstacle course that looked like so much fun. When I came down the hill into his yard to have fun at his party he came up to me in his karate gee and told me that I wasn’t allowed at his party because I didn’t know karate. So, I kicked him in the stomach and made him cry in front of all of his little karate buddies then ran home mad and crying. At this point Jesus stopped the video, no pause, no rewind or fast forward, He looked at me and said, “Matthew, this is when all of it started, this is not an excuse, but just where it began.” Somewhere afterward I awoke, and sometime later that day I told my mom the dream, she found it fascinating, I found it confusing and did not know what it meant.

As with most dreams the meaning is quite allusive and is not always understood until days, weeks, months or years later. In this case it was several weeks and months, it came in two parts with two epiphanies. The first was in my studies, or devotionals, when I realized that Jesus doesn’t compare us to others as we so frequently do. When we die our lives will not be played in split screen comparison to someone else’s life. We cannot say, “I wasn’t as bad as him” or, “what about so and so.” This is a great burden lifted from our backs, that God doesn’t point to other people and say, “why didn’t you live like them.” It is also a great woe because, while He doesn’t compare us to other people, He does compare us to Himself and but also understands that we will forever fall short, it is us that do not always understand that.

Jesus Loves us all, every single one of us, while man, church and religion do not always reflect this, Jesus does even love the one’s that openly hate Him, and also the ones that do not even acknowledge Him. This dream revealed to me the reason Jesus can love even the most vile, evil people of this planet, because he remembers them as they were when they were children. We remember our childhood, but how many of us remember what it was like to be a child, think like a child and act like a child? He does, and He knows, that even the worse of us started just like the rest of us. Many people have wondered if a child dies does it go to heaven? What is the damning age? When is it that we loose our innocence, if it was a specific age and way than maybe God would compare us to each other, but I don’t believe He does, which to me means that everything is based on specific circumstance. Some children, God love them, loose their innocence at a very young age, others much later. Whatever the case, even Hitler and Manson, even Dahmer and Pol Pot were once smiling, innocent, cute little kids. This does not excuse them for what they have done, nor does it mean that they do not deserve judgment, but it does help me to understand how they can be loved and even grieved over with every step they take away from innocence.

So to my evolution and creation fans out there, this is a brief sigh in my long journey through scientific and spiritual revelations. It will not be in my book but is still part of what goes on in my mind. Just know that there are plenty of evolutionist’s and creationist’s that I would like nothing more than to punch in the face, but hey, at least Jesus Loves them.

“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”

-1 Corinthians 13:11-12

Terminal Velocities

My mother told me a few years ago that they forgot to inform me at a young age that sin can be fun. Man was she right, sin can be a whole lot of fun, even though the repercussions may not be noticeable, isn’t there something attractive in being bad? I watched a sermon once on DVD (I find church hard to attend, especially big ones, something about thousands of Christians in one room bothers me, hopefully it won’t in heaven otherwise I’ll be in trouble) where the preacher did a wonderful job of explaining human nature. He said that most people like to believe that we are all generally good people who occasionally do something bad, but the reality is that we are all generally bad people who occasionally do something good. What a profound statement, for proof he states that if we were the former we would only need laws in society, but since we are the latter we need law enforcement, and even internal affairs to enforce the law upon them.

So what is it that makes us all a generally bad species, it may be a pessimistic outlook to have but it is the truth, and if anybody disagrees with that I would be more than happy to punch you in the face. I read an article about a decade ago that claimed the first, and last so far, entire year of recorded history where there was not a war taking place somewhere on earth. Why is it that we are attracted to doing things that are considered evil? The Bible has a wonderful explanation, but lets just continue for a bit as if you don’t believe in that old book. Why is mankind so bent on pain and suffering? Take a look at what all we have, disease, violence, theft, corruption, oppression, and on and on. Without the Grace and Mercy of God we have a very desolate outlook on our planet. Granted those things have yet to come to pass for all of us, but is it not interesting how many people who suffer the most have a tendency to find peace in God? I have done many terrible and shameful things in my life, I would put it up to anyone to find someone who has not, many of the things I have done I enjoyed doing at the time, some of them I would do again given the circumstance of the action. However I am sorry that I have done them, why is it that I am tempted at times to do them again? Violence is something that is interesting, so many people revel in violence but know that it has atrocious outcomes. Same with sex and lust, how many deaths, beatings, disease, wars and pain has come out of sexual miscreants? All of these things, in my opinion, would not exist if it had not been for a simple mistake made thousands of years ago.

Lets assume that you don’t have such a negative outlook on humanity, and in your drum circles and tree hugging you think that we can change as a species, or even better, that we already have. Look at the good people that attempted to make a change in our societies, how about the recent ones? Like Gandhi or Martin Luther King Jr. No doubt these were great, good hearted people (that I am sure had done a few bad things in their lives). How did humanity treat them? How were their lives or achievements embraced by humankind as a whole? Maybe that is a little under your head, so lets look at something more practical. How many times have you shown up somewhere late cursing the jerk that cut you off on your way there? Now how often do you tell people about the nice lady who let you change lanes when you had had your blinker on for the past several miles? All good is rivaled by evil, and since evil is an easy trait in our species it is no wonder why so many peaceful demonstrations end with pain and suffering and tear gas and fire hoses. Does this mean we give up hope? Yes, it means we give our hope to something, not someone, greater, that has a plan, that will bring an end to the current nature of humanity.

I am a firm believer that if Adam and Eve hadn’t eaten the fruit on their own free will God would have eventually fed it to them. Now I don’t even want to begin a dialog on pre-destiny, controlled fate and free will, you’ll have to sit down with me over a coffee and a waffle for that discussion. Let’s just say that God has a plan, and another plan and another plan, he gives us the choices fully knowing the different outcomes for any action we may choose. So all this being said, what would life had been like had Adam and Eve not been so hungry? We don’t know, and have no way of knowing, but do know that it would have been a better alternative to what we see today. I will leave you with a few paragraphs from my book that shows a great metaphor of what parents deal with as their children grow older, further reinforcing the idea that we were not meant to be this way, but are. Until the day when sin is no more we must all learn to deal with our nature and the nature of us all.

The argument presented by the serpent is one that is extremely simple, like getting a sibling to break the rules. First the beast initiates the deception with a simple question “Did your mom actually say that you cannot touch anything in the kitchen?” Which is a great way to manipulate your subject, let them bring up the point of deception by correcting you making them feel like they are in control and know more than you. The child responds honestly saying, “No, my mom said not to touch the stove because it would burn me.” The beast replies saying, “The stove won’t burn you, your mom uses it all the time, but if you used it you could cook whatever you wanted to instead of those vegetables she always makes you eat.” So the child reaches out and touches the stove, burning their hand while their older brother is watching. The Bible specifically states that Adam was with Eve when she ate the fruit, so why would the serpent choose to deceive the woman when the man is right beside her? There are probably many reasons why Eve was chosen but the two main reasons I think of are ignorance and a shared emotion. Eve was more ignorant than Adam simply because God spoke his command directly to Adam who then later conveyed it to Eve. The shared emotion could be one of slight envy that Adam had been around a little bit longer than Eve. Regardless they were both responsible and both suffered for their choices.

For anyone who has overdosed, over drank or simply had more than they could handle of any mind-altering substance, they can relate to what happened next. In an instant everything was revealed to Adam and Eve, in an instant they learned how to add and do calculus. The result was an inner shame that left them dumbfounded as the heavens watched them sober up and stagger throughout the garden. God could have stomped through Eden screaming that they come suffer the punishment but instead He walks lightly through the garden calling for them as a father would his hiding child. When the children come to their father He gives them a chance to confess. This is where I see the infinite possibilities surrounding God’s wisdom, He not only knew the outcome of the earth had they not disobeyed them and the consequence for breaking the rules, but had another plan for them had they confessed. He gives Adam two chances to take responsibility for what he has done, but being the manly man that he is he blames it on the girl. Then God turns to the girl and asks what she has done and she, being the girly girl that she is, blames it on the snake.

So what do you think? Are we not an inherently bad natured species, and if not what are your arguments otherwise? What can we do to change? Can we change? I would love to hear all of your disagreements and views, just remember that I would love to punch someone in the face too ;)

Close Encounters of the First Kind

There is a huge threat to religion today, ok there are many huge threats to many religions today, but specifically there is one that every scientist is praying for. Aliens, UFO Hunters and Science Fiction writers embrace the idea of distant planets with distant species. Media is filled with this phenomenon and once that contact is made humanity will be with open arms and pointed guns to receive these inter-galactic guests. It will be a wonderful day when black, white and every human color in-between join together to lynch the green guy. Unfortunately religion will be left to re-write their belief systems in order to incorporate the idea that somewhere, some how God created other life. Evolutionist’s will gain the upper hand because they have already incorporated into science fiction that life evolved all over the universe.

So where does that leave us? When I was younger I asked my mother what she would think about God if aliens all the sudden landed, she simply replied that she believes they would have a story similar to our own. C. S. Lewis wrote a spectacular trilogy about aliens right here in our own solar system that was a phenomenal synergy between God and alien races. Even in the Bible there are stories that speak of possible encounters with ‘other’ beings not even specifically described as Angels. Many Christians believe that God created our planet exclusively and that we are the only form of life in our universe, that God created us uniquely and specifically. I believe half of this, God did create us uniquely specific but we are not His only unique creations in this universe. God is infinite, which means he is able to create in that same capacity and since I also believe that God is an artist, what artist do you know paints the same masterpiece twice? Just as Jesus loves each of us individually and all of us the same, is it really that preposterous of an idea that the creator loves to create that He didn’t start with our planet and isn’t finished either?

Keeping this all in mind we must also address the threat that is looming over our future. If archaeologist’s were to dig up ancient alien remains in the Antarctic or a mars rover were to run into a eroded pyramid, the scientific evolutionist societies would have all they need to put the final nail into the creationist coffin. Large portions of society already believe in evolved aliens and are just waiting for the evidence to come in. So essentially I feel that it is important as a believer in Christ to be prepared for the argument that is already brewing. Are we the only ones out there? Or even more so are we the only intelligent creatures that God ever created?

There is an important distinction to be made, the secular society would embrace an idea of God being an alien, who seeded our planet and played the part of god in ancient times as the film Stargate eluded to. I am, in no way, suggesting that God or his Angels are aliens, when I speak of aliens I am referring to other species created by God on other planets. Another distinction to be made is between the tangible and intangible interactions between God and Man. The most tangible is of course Jesus but prior to his birth there are many interesting old testament encounters between God and man, all holding interesting characteristics. Some are simply Angels speaking to man, others involve God descending upon earth in clouds of lightening, some more esoteric such as a burning bush or talking mule and even amazing accounts such as Ezekiel’s involving crafts of wheels inside of wheels. While each of these are extremely intriguing I am concerned more with the interaction between man and alien.

There is only one account that can be debated as some form of alien being interacting with man, or more specifically the daughters of men. Prior to the flood there is a very brief description of something called Nephilim mentioned in Genesis. They are described as great giants; the hero’s of old, men of renown. Several sentences earlier the book mentions how the sons of God saw the daughters of man and laid with them producing the great Nephilim as their offspring. Many Christians believe that the sons of God could be either evil Angels or the offspring of Cain. I, however, do not ascribe to this belief for several reasons, the first is the mention of Nephilim and the second is that Angels are sexless servants of God, not able to reproduce. Some believe that Angels could easily overcome that obstacle but I feel that had that been the case the book of Genesis would have described the Angels of God and not the sons of God. For many years these small verses in Genesis bothered me, I could not comprehend why or how any of this was possible and certainly felt that this was the reasoning behind the Great Flood.

It was not until I was in my twenties that I read about the horrific events that took place during the pre-deluge era. The book of Enoch, which I have already referred to in great detail, held the key to the mystery that had baffled me for so many years. In the book there are several chapters that describe specifically what took place in the days of Jared. Not only does this support the idea of amazing ancient technology but also the idea of Atlantis easily existing in those days. The story described in Enoch is that of a group of beings that obviously knew the earth existed and was within their reach. At the time, Lucifer had already accomplished his great deception and God had turned his back in grief towards the earth. Enoch explains that a group of twenty beings, each having twenty followers, made a pack with each other to descend upon Mr. Hermon (which I have no idea exactly where it is but like to believe it is covered in the ice of the Antarctic) each taking human wives. The interesting thing is that their names are quite intriguing. Angelic names commonly hold the suffix of –el, such as Gabri-el or Uri-el. However the names, which are listed by Enoch, do not have this suffix, such as Semjaza the leader of the twenty. These four hundred beings ravaged the earth and took wives. In my personal opinion they fell to the same jealousy that Lucifer fell to, they took advantage of mankind’s missed opportunity.

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit they voided their opportunity to learn God’s wisdom directly, or as I like to say had we not eaten the fruit, eventually God would have fed it to us. This left us somewhat dumb and on our own to figure things out, so these aliens saw an opportunity to take advantage of a young ignorant race. Enoch mentions specifically which aliens taught us what, such as the beautifying of eyelids, the constellations, precious metals, the making of weapons, armor and even alchemy. They filled the earth with war and oppression, playing the roles of gods while their mutated offspring waged war against humanity. Enoch witnesses the Angels begging God to make things right and says that the blood and screams of slain men echo throughout the halls of Heaven. God wages judgment against these fallen aliens and decrees that the secrets of heaven that the aliens taught the daughters of man were not the true secrets of heaven but only what little they had learned from God. The judgment set forth is that there will be a great flood to wipe clean the travesties of earth allowing for a new beginning. The fallen aliens petition God through Enoch twice and twice they are refused and their sentence intensified, first binding the aliens to earth and second the witnessing of their offspring killed. The offspring or Nephilim are condemned to roam the earth as evil spirits until the end of days, which is interesting and could easily be the demons that ravage society today.

While all this sounds very science fictionish, it is all very plausible if you accept the idea that God created other beings on other planets. Which brings about another consideration, the ancient Assyrians, Chaldeans, Egyptians, Hebrews, Persians, Greeks, Phoenicians, Chinese, Mayans, Hindus, Carthaginians, Etruscans and Teutons calendars are based on a 360 not 365 day year. Many scholars believe that the reason behind the slight offset of our planet from the ancient celestial maps can easily be due to the fact that several thousand years ago mars was in a much closer orbit to earth, so much that mars could be seen clearly by the naked eye every few years. If this was the case then Mars would have been much more habitable than it is now and any species living on mars would be much taller than humans due to the smaller planet size and gravity attributing to the offspring of woman and alien being Nephilim or giants of old. I do believe that we will eventually find evidence of life on Mars but as we can already see the planet has paid a heavy price for its trespass against humanity, being decimated by meteors and climate change for thousands of years. Being a believer in this ancient illegal activity I also believe there is evidence buried deep in our planet of the decent of the sons of God on Mt. Hernon and we all know what science will do with this discovery whenever it is finally uncovered. The other issues that all of this brings to the surface is why all of it happened, why are we screaming for attention from our galaxy and receiving none and what is really taking place out there in this vast universe?

God is great and of everything he will eventually make good. We blew our chance at paradise on this planet and until God comes in full force to open His universe to us we will always be grasping at celestial straws. Coming back to my initial reason for bringing all of this to the table is the threat that we face in the world if we do not recognize what God has so delicately described in the Bible. Why back track when we can already find Biblical evidence to support what so many already believe, that there are other physical beings out there. I am probably way off on what is really happening in the stars but based on what I have studied there is something going on and the reason why we are not part of it is because we faltered from the path that God set for us. That does not mean that there are no other paths but that we gave up the easy utopian path for one of hardship and pain. God is good and will make everything good in due time, in the mean time we must be prepared for whatever He has in store for us. While we do not live in the days of Jared we do live in a shadow of his pain. We have surpassed precious metals and created credit and cash, we have given up on the sword to bring about weapons of mass destruction, we have exceeded alchemy for pharmaceuticals and have begotten the beautifying of eyelids for breast implants. Is it no wonder that as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man?

Jurassic Perks

Steven Spielberg did a phenomenal job entertaining us back in the 1990’s with his rendition of Michael Crichton’s book Jurassic Park. While he may have missed some pertinent details for the sake of entertainment (Velocer Raptors were not nearly as tall as the movie represented) it was fascinating to imagine what it would be like if dinosaurs were around today. This begs answer to the question that evolutionist’s and creationist’s both disagree on, was man around when dinosaurs existed?

Evolution claims that we were not, that the dinosaurs died off millions of years prior to the onset of man. The Bible claims that we did live in the time of these ancient reptiles, specifically, Job in his book in chapter 41, has a very detailed description of a dinosaur that most biblical footnote's poorly suggests is a rhino. As a matter of fact dinosaurs are even mentioned in Genesis during the creation of our planet, sadly through politics and vague translations we end up with words like birds, as opposed to the exact translation of the Hebrew word being winged creatures (covering not only Pterodactyls but insects as well).

For those wishing to research the debate further I suggest looking into the Paluxy river fossil finds from Texas, and for those who like to maintain a bias education I have provided links to both sides of that find:

Evolution Link

Creation Link

I like to consider the possibility that we may still live in an age with dinosaurs, not only to support the ancient global phenomenon of dragons but also those chasing sea serpents like ole’ nessie. In 1977 (link) a Japanese fishing boat caught a large fish that later scientist (non-Japanese scientist I might add) claimed to be a Basking Shark. At the time, the Japanese Scientists were so convinced that this was a Plesiosaurs the country even created a stamp to commemorate the find. The interesting suggestion here is that if evolution is wrong about man not existing in the time of the dinosaurs then either these sea creatures have a million year life span, or maybe they are wrong about the age of the earth as well.

But I have already strayed to far off topic, this is about Jurassic Perks, so let me explain the two concepts that I feel God designed the dinosaurs for. I will keep my explanations brief (buy the book!!) and try to keep it as simple as possible. The first is one that is more of a paradise lost ideology, had our greatest grandparents not screwed things up we would be benefiting from this Perk today. For anyone that has ever watched the old cartoon Dino Riders (youtube link) or even The Flintstones (youtube link) then imagining this theory will be easy enough. It is that they were intended to be our forms of transportation and construction, in a natural utopia where we could communicate with nature and we all had a little Dr. Dolittle in us, this would have been a wonderful tool. The sad parallel is that our own man made dinosaurs exist today, building our sky scrappers and ripping apart our forests.

The second Perk is a little more functional and conceivable, they certainly would have had the same effect if we had not lost Eden but play an even more important role today in the great debate of our origins. Essentially the larger species of the dinosaurs (which only made up about %20) acted as a Terraforming Accelerator of sorts. This would have been very useful in the early stages of our planet, not only helping to speed up the development of foliage but also in keeping our atmosphere clean. The ancient behemoths were so large that they would constantly need to be eating in order to maintain their rapid metabolisms, and of course what better fertilizer for a large rocky land mass than dino dung? Not to mention their enormous lungs helping to spew out carbon dioxide to help those plants grow up big and strong. I have never heard of this idea before and when recognized I feel it has a simplicity to it that cannot be ignored.

So these are my two crazy concepts of the purpose for our fascinating ancient reptilian creatures. What do you believe they were for? Do you even believe that they were around when man was? Where did they all go? There are tons of questions surrounding these amazing creatures, the only thing that we do know for sure is that they did exist and now do not. Beyond that everything else, even down to the color of their skin, is purely speculation. Give me your input, do your think I’m crazy, or that everyone else is for never thinking of this in the first place. I have a great quote I created several years ago that I think not only helps in this debate but also in many others:

"Some things go over our heads, most… Goes under"

No matter what you believe, the dinosaurs are not here today but we do know that they existed and whether they were intended to be our transportation or not, they are definitely fueling our transportation today.

Evolution! or Creation?

Evolution is a tricky word, so is Creation. So let me attempt to define some terms in order to help explain what I believe in.

1: one of a set of prescribed movements

The only term I decided not to define, mainly because it is so vaugue, is intelligent design. This, in most cases is a negotiated ideology, it can mean anything from an engineered evolution to just simply God isn't stupid. There is a grey area between evolution and creation though, this can range from many different ideas and if you're belief falls into this category then by all means please give us your definition of intelligent design.

Ok, now that the terms are somewhat defined, or over defined, I will tell you all what I believe. I believe in devolution, that we (some 6.5 or 7 billion people) are collectively the retarded offspring of Adam and Eve. That God created our planet in 6 days, and one day to God is one day, not a few million or billion years. We as humans screwed up and have been paying for it ever since. Roughly I believe that our planet is between 20,000 to 30,000 years old in relation to our solar system (meaning it has been in our solar system for that long, you don't have your first year birthday three months after your born do you? Who knows how long we were in the celestial 'womb') I do believe in a form of evolution but it is called convergence (source see definition 3), the idea that God created dog, not pit bull, golden retriever, rottweiler, etc. God created Human, not Black, White, Asian, etc. And yes God created monkey, not chimpanzee, orangutan, gorilla, etc.

Now I am not going to go into lots of details and scientific facts (you will have to wait for my book for that.) I also will not defend my opinion or attack anyone elses opinion. Please be respectful and share with us what you believe, not how stupid what other people believe in is. Remember, no matter what you may think, all of these are theories, they have not found a missing link (with all the missing pieces ((full skeleton?)) and widely accepted by all scientific communities), God has not appeared on earth with a power point presentation and blueprints for earth (and when He does return does He really need to explain himself to us? or us to Him?)

So please, be respectful and open minded, that doesn't mean you have to agree and let everything settle in your mind, just that you are willing to listen and respect others.
