Close Encounters of the First Kind

There is a huge threat to religion today, ok there are many huge threats to many religions today, but specifically there is one that every scientist is praying for. Aliens, UFO Hunters and Science Fiction writers embrace the idea of distant planets with distant species. Media is filled with this phenomenon and once that contact is made humanity will be with open arms and pointed guns to receive these inter-galactic guests. It will be a wonderful day when black, white and every human color in-between join together to lynch the green guy. Unfortunately religion will be left to re-write their belief systems in order to incorporate the idea that somewhere, some how God created other life. Evolutionist’s will gain the upper hand because they have already incorporated into science fiction that life evolved all over the universe.

So where does that leave us? When I was younger I asked my mother what she would think about God if aliens all the sudden landed, she simply replied that she believes they would have a story similar to our own. C. S. Lewis wrote a spectacular trilogy about aliens right here in our own solar system that was a phenomenal synergy between God and alien races. Even in the Bible there are stories that speak of possible encounters with ‘other’ beings not even specifically described as Angels. Many Christians believe that God created our planet exclusively and that we are the only form of life in our universe, that God created us uniquely and specifically. I believe half of this, God did create us uniquely specific but we are not His only unique creations in this universe. God is infinite, which means he is able to create in that same capacity and since I also believe that God is an artist, what artist do you know paints the same masterpiece twice? Just as Jesus loves each of us individually and all of us the same, is it really that preposterous of an idea that the creator loves to create that He didn’t start with our planet and isn’t finished either?

Keeping this all in mind we must also address the threat that is looming over our future. If archaeologist’s were to dig up ancient alien remains in the Antarctic or a mars rover were to run into a eroded pyramid, the scientific evolutionist societies would have all they need to put the final nail into the creationist coffin. Large portions of society already believe in evolved aliens and are just waiting for the evidence to come in. So essentially I feel that it is important as a believer in Christ to be prepared for the argument that is already brewing. Are we the only ones out there? Or even more so are we the only intelligent creatures that God ever created?

There is an important distinction to be made, the secular society would embrace an idea of God being an alien, who seeded our planet and played the part of god in ancient times as the film Stargate eluded to. I am, in no way, suggesting that God or his Angels are aliens, when I speak of aliens I am referring to other species created by God on other planets. Another distinction to be made is between the tangible and intangible interactions between God and Man. The most tangible is of course Jesus but prior to his birth there are many interesting old testament encounters between God and man, all holding interesting characteristics. Some are simply Angels speaking to man, others involve God descending upon earth in clouds of lightening, some more esoteric such as a burning bush or talking mule and even amazing accounts such as Ezekiel’s involving crafts of wheels inside of wheels. While each of these are extremely intriguing I am concerned more with the interaction between man and alien.

There is only one account that can be debated as some form of alien being interacting with man, or more specifically the daughters of men. Prior to the flood there is a very brief description of something called Nephilim mentioned in Genesis. They are described as great giants; the hero’s of old, men of renown. Several sentences earlier the book mentions how the sons of God saw the daughters of man and laid with them producing the great Nephilim as their offspring. Many Christians believe that the sons of God could be either evil Angels or the offspring of Cain. I, however, do not ascribe to this belief for several reasons, the first is the mention of Nephilim and the second is that Angels are sexless servants of God, not able to reproduce. Some believe that Angels could easily overcome that obstacle but I feel that had that been the case the book of Genesis would have described the Angels of God and not the sons of God. For many years these small verses in Genesis bothered me, I could not comprehend why or how any of this was possible and certainly felt that this was the reasoning behind the Great Flood.

It was not until I was in my twenties that I read about the horrific events that took place during the pre-deluge era. The book of Enoch, which I have already referred to in great detail, held the key to the mystery that had baffled me for so many years. In the book there are several chapters that describe specifically what took place in the days of Jared. Not only does this support the idea of amazing ancient technology but also the idea of Atlantis easily existing in those days. The story described in Enoch is that of a group of beings that obviously knew the earth existed and was within their reach. At the time, Lucifer had already accomplished his great deception and God had turned his back in grief towards the earth. Enoch explains that a group of twenty beings, each having twenty followers, made a pack with each other to descend upon Mr. Hermon (which I have no idea exactly where it is but like to believe it is covered in the ice of the Antarctic) each taking human wives. The interesting thing is that their names are quite intriguing. Angelic names commonly hold the suffix of –el, such as Gabri-el or Uri-el. However the names, which are listed by Enoch, do not have this suffix, such as Semjaza the leader of the twenty. These four hundred beings ravaged the earth and took wives. In my personal opinion they fell to the same jealousy that Lucifer fell to, they took advantage of mankind’s missed opportunity.

When Adam and Eve ate the fruit they voided their opportunity to learn God’s wisdom directly, or as I like to say had we not eaten the fruit, eventually God would have fed it to us. This left us somewhat dumb and on our own to figure things out, so these aliens saw an opportunity to take advantage of a young ignorant race. Enoch mentions specifically which aliens taught us what, such as the beautifying of eyelids, the constellations, precious metals, the making of weapons, armor and even alchemy. They filled the earth with war and oppression, playing the roles of gods while their mutated offspring waged war against humanity. Enoch witnesses the Angels begging God to make things right and says that the blood and screams of slain men echo throughout the halls of Heaven. God wages judgment against these fallen aliens and decrees that the secrets of heaven that the aliens taught the daughters of man were not the true secrets of heaven but only what little they had learned from God. The judgment set forth is that there will be a great flood to wipe clean the travesties of earth allowing for a new beginning. The fallen aliens petition God through Enoch twice and twice they are refused and their sentence intensified, first binding the aliens to earth and second the witnessing of their offspring killed. The offspring or Nephilim are condemned to roam the earth as evil spirits until the end of days, which is interesting and could easily be the demons that ravage society today.

While all this sounds very science fictionish, it is all very plausible if you accept the idea that God created other beings on other planets. Which brings about another consideration, the ancient Assyrians, Chaldeans, Egyptians, Hebrews, Persians, Greeks, Phoenicians, Chinese, Mayans, Hindus, Carthaginians, Etruscans and Teutons calendars are based on a 360 not 365 day year. Many scholars believe that the reason behind the slight offset of our planet from the ancient celestial maps can easily be due to the fact that several thousand years ago mars was in a much closer orbit to earth, so much that mars could be seen clearly by the naked eye every few years. If this was the case then Mars would have been much more habitable than it is now and any species living on mars would be much taller than humans due to the smaller planet size and gravity attributing to the offspring of woman and alien being Nephilim or giants of old. I do believe that we will eventually find evidence of life on Mars but as we can already see the planet has paid a heavy price for its trespass against humanity, being decimated by meteors and climate change for thousands of years. Being a believer in this ancient illegal activity I also believe there is evidence buried deep in our planet of the decent of the sons of God on Mt. Hernon and we all know what science will do with this discovery whenever it is finally uncovered. The other issues that all of this brings to the surface is why all of it happened, why are we screaming for attention from our galaxy and receiving none and what is really taking place out there in this vast universe?

God is great and of everything he will eventually make good. We blew our chance at paradise on this planet and until God comes in full force to open His universe to us we will always be grasping at celestial straws. Coming back to my initial reason for bringing all of this to the table is the threat that we face in the world if we do not recognize what God has so delicately described in the Bible. Why back track when we can already find Biblical evidence to support what so many already believe, that there are other physical beings out there. I am probably way off on what is really happening in the stars but based on what I have studied there is something going on and the reason why we are not part of it is because we faltered from the path that God set for us. That does not mean that there are no other paths but that we gave up the easy utopian path for one of hardship and pain. God is good and will make everything good in due time, in the mean time we must be prepared for whatever He has in store for us. While we do not live in the days of Jared we do live in a shadow of his pain. We have surpassed precious metals and created credit and cash, we have given up on the sword to bring about weapons of mass destruction, we have exceeded alchemy for pharmaceuticals and have begotten the beautifying of eyelids for breast implants. Is it no wonder that as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man?
